Dad traveled to Olathe (Kansas City area), today with Gordon (brother) and Camilla to see Karen (sister) and Patrick. Tuesday Becky (sister) and Dave arrive from Northern Ontario Canada, and will take Dad back to Abilene. They will be with him a week, then Stan (brother) & Fiona of Oklahoma City will take care of him for a week.
His dizziness has increased when he is laying down (which is new). He actually had some time a few days ago where he was sitting up with no dizziness (which is rare).
He still tells us he is not ready to leave, when asked if he wants to go see our mother in heaven, so he is still fighting to some degree. Dizziness seems more attributed to the tumor now, rather than to the prior radiation treatments. Some who have had relatives who had brain tumors have told us that this goes with the territory with this kind of tumor.
Dad had a nice visit with Pastor Charles Norman, who conducted our Mom's funeral in April of 2003. He has also had several good visits with his brother Keith. Friends of years gone by, have come over to the house, and Dad always enjoyed those visits.
Not a lot to report on an ongoing basis, but thanks to Gordon and Camilla for excellent care, and forwarding photos and videos from time to time.
Dad has no pain or discomfort (for which we are so thankful), just the ongoing annoying dizzy spells, and fatigue.
