Oncologist and Cardiologist here this afternoon. In response to my question, Oncologist reiterated they can't be 100% certain of the malignancy status, but that will be confirmed the same time the tumor is removed if we end up going that route. He said the body CT-scan of yesterdaywas clear, no cancer they could see (or that would show in the scan), so now that would free them up to concentrate on the head tumor.
We discussed some best and worst case scenarios, best case is he is like he is now, and they have a tough time answering the worst case one, but we know there will be physical therapy for some left body function, mainly arm.
Oncologist said if it was his 84 year old Dad, with all of the medical and family history, (if Dad's heart is up to it) he would opt for the surgery. Cardiologist will do heart scan tomorrow morning early. If everything turns out well we may have the go-ahead for a possible surgery options early next week.
