I met with the Cardiologist this afternoon, and he said the heart function in the scan was marginal for this kind of surgery (in view of Dad's heart history), and the risk was higher than what they wanted to see. He was called away by the Neurosurgeon, and came back and said based on the risk to the heart the surgery was out, and other options would be considered. Since this is second hand information and we have not yet received this from the Oncologist or the Neurosurgeon, we will wait and see what happens tomorrow. It appears to me, tumor removal is out of the question at this time.
